Summer School Management

The EDA Summer School is led and managed by two Directors

Christine Pfaff   Simon Camby

Christine was Headteacher of a unique federated first school on four sites in Dorset . Christine has a distinguished and highly successful track record which has included a range of roles in education. Throughout her career, Christine has maintained a passion for ensuring that her school was one in which children were excited about their learning and engaged in a creative curriculum.

Christine has had experience of the following roles:

  • Teacher
  • Curriculum Support Teacher
  • Deputy Headteacher
  • Advisory Headteacher for the Local Education Authority
  • Headteacher of two schools

In addition, Christine has worked as an OfSTED Inspector and mentor to other Headteachers. She has experience in all phases of education – primary and secondary.

Christine now works for the Citizens Advice Bureau.

In 2003 she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship.

 

Simon’s full time job is as a Director of Navigate, a specialist consultancy working across education and children’s services in the full range of settings: schools, academies, colleges, local authorities and central government (www.navigategroup.co.uk).

Prior to this, Simon has worked in a range of roles in education. These have included:

  • Headteacher of two schools
  • Education consultant
  • Ofsted lead inspector
  • Local authority inspector

Simon has been the Co-Director of the EDA Summer School since 2005. Prior to this he ran a leadership course for middle leaders from 2001 – 2004.
